My Fairytale

Now, you’re all looking at the picture and thinking this is going to be a mushy romantic post…and that might make a perfectly typical fairytale… but that wouldn’t be mine.

So let’s start it off…..

“Once upon a time there was a shopaholic girl who had an Oasis away from the uglies and drama that can sometimes be found in our pixel world.There were gachas, and shoes, blueberry booty’s and cupcakes….

It wasn’t all shopping with the girl, in an effort to bring beauty to the world, she started a blog. It was filled with things to enhance anyones life, and she was so proud of her efforts. Of course, the evils of the world were not willing to let the pretty lass spread such beauty and threw in challenges of things like a wicked thing called RL, dumb boys pretending to be men, they even stole her muse for a time. She battled it all, even took up a quest to enter the fabled halls of the famed Blueberry, proclaiming she would be back leading the world to beauty once more….

And then, the greatest challenge of all….

a full sim.

Events were missed, days blurred in the race against tier running out… she even wore the same shorts and tank top for 3 days!

Just as things were at their darkest, and the girl was struggling with the stress, the prims, the sheer size of it all…. a bright light appeared, it was Epiphany. In all its glowing wonderousness, the gacha, the cute, the shoes, the zombicorns, that renowned Blueberry booty with all sorts of magical Halloween delights.

She dusted off her trusty hud, donned her cloak of invisibility and with a prayer to the great power of Orryx, made it into the promised land.

Returning to her Oasis, she was swept into the arms of her King to enjoy a night of celebration.

And the girl was once again able to tell the world of wondrous things.

The End”

Ok, so I am still suffering with the effects of moving from a half sim to a whole (new) sim and having it open in 5 days. And I was feeling terribly guilty for saying I’m back to blogging and then vanish again….so a creative story seemed best.

Saving Sight

A very important event started on the 12th to help out another member of our virtual world. Shane Rodney Benbrook owner of DeadPool, is in need of a procedure to save his sight. You can read it all here on his gofundme page.  I love how strong the bond is with people here in Second Life and how willing they are to help when another is in need. All the designers in the event have donated the items, so 100% goes directly to helping Shane.

If you haven’t yet, make sure you get there and help him keep his sight.

Petite Mort created the very cute, Wednesday dress for the event, it’s available in 6 colors.

Since getting back from my crazy long weekend of driving, I have lived life in a blur. Somehow, the 2 weeks that were left are all but gone and I have about 2 weeks worth of stuff to finish in 2 days. Procrastination FTW!

Needless to say, this has also made me be a lil more time constrained/ dead tired and not online as much….this post has been sitting here almost done for a few days now…

I’ve actually been wearing the outfit for like three days, since I didn’t want to forget what exactly it was that I had on…me in the same thing for 3 days NEVER happens.

All that said, I do look pretty damn cute, so I’ll let it slide.

You find yourself in the strangest of places when you let a dog lead….

Yes I am still recovering from my gacha high…the amount of things I can blog, and the awesomeness of it all is still overwhelming. And I know you’re going to think this is biased since I am blogging for the event…but honestly, I haven’t found anything in the machines here that I wouldn’t try at least once….there are definitely those I would be pulling 20 times to get the Seed of Inspiration.

You have heard about that right?  Well just in case you haven’t…. when you play a machine 20 times, you are given a wonderful, exclusive,  item from that creator. After the garden closes, no one will be able to get it again. And yes, they are worth it.

I was going to do a cutesy post filled with all the kawaii type things, and then I noticed this drive in set from unKindness. It is amazing. The details, the textures…it’s just … let’s just say this set NEEDS to be put in a rp/photo sim so that people (who don’t have space for it) can enjoy it.

I figured after all the geek,glam and gor… it was time to get back to well… to be honest it’s still a lil geeky if you count that my squid had does have glasses and a very well known lightning scar….

Krave is participating in the Wizarding Fair that opens July 12 (no lm yet, will update) and they have some pretty cool things …including the awesome squid hat, that is a gacha item..yes, my lovely pink squid is a rare.

The romper I have on is also from her, and comes with one heck of a hud for color choices. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but her huds are one of my favorite things about her clothing..so many choices!!

So on the 5th an event begins that had me completely geek out.

Nerdapalooza.

It’s one of those events that I’m sitting here going… I can’t believe I get to blog about this!!!!

When I applied, I actually said “please pick me, I’m who you make this event for.” And it’s true…I am a geek, nerd… total gamer girl…and yea, I get to blog about this!!!!

*takes a deep breath*

There are already so many cool things, and it isn’t just clothing…which is awesome, because I kinda have this thing for furniture too.

Anyhow… this is the important part… Nerdapalooza is a Relay for Life event. That means the money spent here goes to help pwn cancers ass (yep had to ) Relays for Life is an awesome thing, and if you don’t think you shopping here matters… here’s a lil  quote from the NFC website ” The Relay For Life of Second Life is the largest, most successful fund-raising event in the virtual world, raising more than $2,000,000 USD since its first event in 2004.”

Yea… 2 million

It runs from the 5th -11th, so mark it down, and plan on heading over there

Something happened yesterday that shocked me. Anyone who has been following me will remember those posts about losing someone, getting over it etc….well yesterday he logged on…. and while it would have been totally awesome to have heard “omg I’ve missed you” …it was even better to experience MY reaction to it all. I was completely happy to see him, chat with him… and then I went on with my day.

And yes… I made sure he saw me in one hell of a dress that would make him remember what he no longer has …even put on those “fuck me” heels I knew he loved….remember that post I did about being kinda evil 😉

Anyhow… was totally cool to have had that meh, I’m over it feeling.

Which brings me to the dress and the picture. What better way to wash all the cares away than dancing in the rain! The dress I have on is Kraves new release for the Ross event which opened this week, I’m have to say, it is one of my favorite dresses she’s made….might be that there is a funky banana print to choose on the hud.

I’m not that innocent

There are quite a few times that I have been mistaken for that sweet innocent, some because of how I tend to dress cute. Others, I think mainly because that is what “they” want to see. I don’t really mind being thought of as innocent, but don’t be surprised when those not so innocent comments come out of my mouth. Second Life really isn’t that place to proclaim innocence.

Heck, I still have an ancient gesture saying “If you’re innocent, you’re not playing the game correctly.”

That said.. I will agree that the outfit,shape and skin I have on does lead to that look of innocence.

The skin is the new gacha prize from 7 Deadly Skins. It’s 100l a play, but if you’re a group member, 60….and there are two secret rares.I love the more subtle look of it. Perfect for summer.

And I changed my shape for this pic, thanks to Tori-tastic…was a bit curious, and honestly, it fits the whole Kowaii part of the Kowai Kawaii event. The dress too, is at Kowai Kawaii, Cute or Die also made matching shoes with a hud that lets you customize to your hearts content.

Kowai Kawaii is open till July 13, so make sure you get over there!

I saw this dress as a work in progress on facebook while it was being made, and knew I had to  have it. If any of you remember, I started blogging with a comment about a designer with amazing service and who went above and beyond in fixing a messed up hud. She was also one of the first designers to give me something to blog…. so while I do love the designers I blog for (and trust me, these people are AMAZING) I suppose like everything, you remember your first.

The dress is from Heartistic, and she has this really funky store with all these amazing finds in it..not to mention one hell of a group gift of store credit each month. If you haven’t explored her store yet…you should.

As for this dress… It’s available at Alice in Sexyland. I bought the fatpack with apron, so it comes with a hud. The shading,textures and colors are fantastic…and it that cute,sexy, almost naughty look that turns heads. (got hit on 5 times while taking pics for this blog)

Get the fatpack, actually…get BOTH the apron and non apron versions..go to her store, join her group…you’ll thank me for it later 😉
